What guests — and site owners — usually ask
What happens if I return the car late?
Late returns are flagged automatically against the booking's return date and time, so the site owner can apply a late fee or extend the booking manually — there is no automatic penalty charge built in.
What should I do in case of an accident or breakdown?
Contact details for the branch handling the booking are shown on the confirmation and in the customer's account — the plugin itself does not include roadside assistance, that stays a manual, branch-level process.
What documents are required to rent a car?
This is set per site, not per booking — typically a driving licence and ID, listed on the rental terms page. The plugin does not collect or verify documents during checkout itself.
Are there any mileage limits?
Mileage limits are not a built-in field — if a site owner enforces one, it is stated in their own rental terms rather than tracked by the plugin.
Can I rent a car without a driver?
Yes — self-drive is the default. A driver can be added as a paid extra service on bookings where the site owner has enabled it.
Is a security deposit required?
Only if the site owner has turned it on — Security Deposit is a toggleable, refundable module, off by default.
